Thanksgiving Service of Nana Arkoh Ansah V and Nana Kwesi Essel Okyeahene1|| REV. JOHN NTIM FORDJOUR

To God be the glory! Executive Community Church was filled with joy and celebration as we held a powerful Thanksgiving Service to honour the enstoolment of Nana Arkoh Ansah V (Odikro of Gomoa Wassah & Protocol Chief of Gomoa Assin Traditional Area) and Nana Kwesi Essel Okyeahene I (Gyaasehene of Gomoa Wassah & Nyimedii Kesehene of Gomoa Assin Traditional Area). The service began with a spirit-filled time of praise and worship.

The atmosphere was electric with gratitude, and the presence of the Lord filled the auditorium. The service was well-attended by dignitaries, chiefs, and families from far and near. We were incredibly honoured by the presence of Nana Atta Kwakwa Egyir Oposu VII, the respected Chief of Gomoa Tarkwa, and several elders and queen mothers from the Gomoa Traditional Area. Their participation made the event even more historic and meaningful. As part of the programme, Ohemaa Mavis Essel Okyeahene, wife of the Gyaasehene, gave a heartfelt tribute to all mothers in honour of Mother’s Day, blessing all women for their strength, support, and godly roles in our families and community.

The highlight of the service was the sermon delivered by Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, a former Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Assin South. His message, based on Psalm 136, focused on the power of thanksgiving. He reminded us that, regardless of our status, progress, or challenges, we must continue to give thanks to God.

He powerfully stated that “gratitude is the key to divine continuity,” encouraging us to acknowledge God as the source of every blessing in life. After the leading service, we transitioned into a lively celebration with a live band that had everyone dancing in joy. There was an amazing get-together session where all members were treated to delicious meals, from traditional Ghanaian dishes to continental favourites. The love, unity, and excitement during the feast were a testimony of God’s goodness.

We want to thank all our guests, traditional leaders, and church family for making the event a success.

It was truly a day to remember! Executive Community Church – ECC is a place where God’s love meets people.
